May’s used car sales suffered another setback in May, dipping 1.4% vs. same month year ago, CNW Marketing says 
 Franchised new-car dealers saw gains, put more emphasis on used cars  because of shortages of most in-demand fuel efficient models at Toyota  and Honda 
 Independent dealers saw sales decline of 4.4% 
 Private party sales (casual) slipped 3% — individuals are taking  advantage of offers from franchised dealers for above-book trade-in  values
